"Chemsex" is a term that describes the fusion of substances and sex, however cultural and social considerations that are unique to the LGBTQA+ community deserve to be explored and understood at a deeper level. This presentation describes the intersectionality of stigma, gender identity, and substance use, and how healthcare professionals can approach conversations on these topics from a better-informed place.

1. Recognize the role that stigma plays in substance use, gender identity, and sexuality
2. Understand the cultural and historical context of the MSM community and substance use
3. What does recovery look like?
