Welcome to the Corewell Health Continuing Medical Education West office and to Corewell Health West Nursing Continuing Professional Development. We strive to provide accreditation for relevant, cutting edge clinical and research educational activities. Through various education formats, our faculty and educators strive to improve participants' knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors to continuously affect positive outcomes. 

The CME Office's mission is to positively improve the quality of health care delivered to the people of West Michigan by supporting and providing accreditation for Continuing Medical Education. It is expected our approved educational activities will result in a measurable improvement in participants' knowledge, competence, skills or patient outcomes. The Corewell Health West Nursing Continuing Professional Development Approved Provider Unit's mission is: To advance clinical excellence in nursing practice by promoting an environment that stimulates inquiry, learning and conversions of knowledge into action. We adopt the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) definition of Nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) activities: "Those learning activities intended to build upon the educational and experiential bases of the professional RN for the enhancement of practice, education, administration, research, or theory development, to the end of improving the health of the public and RN's pursuit of their professional career goals." (2015 ANCC Primary Accreditation Provider Application Manual).
