Improving Care at the Core: Providing Pediatric Head-Injured Patients with Virtual Visio-Vestibular Exams Post Discharge 2024

During this course, Dr. Minnock and her team will train attendees to complete a Visio-Vestibular exam during the emergency visit and help to develop plans for each patient to have access to follow-up treatment post- discharge.

1. To identify the adverse impacts of varying techniques in diagnosing and treating acute pediatric head injuries in emergency room settings.
2. To apply a standard exam to measure the severity of the patient’s head injury, using the Visio-vestibular exam, developed by CHOP.
3. To develop a plan for each patient to follow up with a provider within 48-72 hours post discharge.
