Corewell Health's 2025 Behavioral Health Symposium is an annual opportunity to gain knowledge and expert insight on current behavioral health topics, including LGBTQIA+ healthcare, mental health, Addiction, TMS Treatment, EMDR and Geriatrics. This will be a one-day hybrid conference (virtual/in-person Corewell Conference Center) aimed at healthcare professionals, both internal (system-wide) and external.

1. Discuss the differences between gender, sex, and attraction and define key terms and cultural elements related to Sexual and Gender Diverse (SGD) communities.
2. Define 'geriatric' in a mental health treatment setting and convey population demographics which highlight the importance for treatment competency for this population.
3. Identify key components of comprehensive care for birthing people with OUD
4. Medical use case(s) for marijuana in treatment of mental health conditions
5. The audience will reflect and discuss 2 case studies, centered on how experiencing being unhoused, surviving significant trauma(s) and socio-economic suffering impact people’s overall health and ability to manage chronic health conditions.
6. Develop a basic understanding of EMDR frameworks and concepts
7. Be able to discuss potential role of psychotherapy in affecting TMS outcomes
