Hosting a screening of a film: "Everybody's Work: Healing what Hurts Us All" and also having a facilitated discussion panel following

1. Understand Structural Racism: Participants will be able to define structural racism and identify its manifestations within healthcare systems.
2. Analyze Film Content: Participants will critically analyze the film's portrayal of structural racism and its implications for patient care and nursing practice.
3. Recognize Impact on Patient Outcomes: Participants will explore how structural racism contributes to disparities in health outcomes among different racial and ethnic groups.
4. Reflect on Personal Experiences: Participants will engage in self-reflection regarding their own biases and experiences related to structural racism in their professional environments.
5. Discuss Solutions and Strategies: Participants will collaborate during the panel discussion to identify actionable strategies for nurses and healthcare organizations to combat structural racism and improve patient care.

Corewell Health West is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
