Virtual Med/Surg Nursing Symposium. Topics covered will help nurse improve practise.

1. The learner will understand the prevalence of trauma and the effects that trauma can have on patient care and outcome.
2. The learner will list strategies in self-care to combat nurse burnout.
3. Identify and experiment with at least 5 one-minute embodied practices likely to be sustainable and useful for your professional and personal life.
4. Discuss some of the scientific literature supporting a non-structural approach to pain.
5. Understand the damage we can do by putting labels and diagnoses on patients.
6. Understand a safe treatment plan for Alcohol Withdrawal and Mental health patients.
7. Understanding the Benefits of early patient mobility.
8. Explain Safe Patient Handling.
9. Explain each generation possesses unique characteristics, values, and traits. Define how these differences influence jobs satisfaction and productivity.
