Overview
In the MED+UP program, small groups of physicians and APPs meet monthly to discuss topics relevant to improving meaning in work. The groups meet over a meal as the act of commensality has been shown to improve well-being and foster community. The sessions are led by a trained peer facilitator who leads the discussion and fosters a setting of psychological safety. The curriculum was developed with the expertise of mental health experts and includes topics such as resilience, identifying warning signs, imposter syndrome, making medical mistakes, unconscious bias, and relationships at home and at work.
