The STABLE Learner Program will provide concise guidelines of neonatal pre-transport stabilization activities that when employed by caregivers will improve the quality of care provided to neonates that are being transported to and within a tertiary care facility. The format of this program optimizes retention and recall of essential stabilization activities.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Improve patient safety for infants by: standardizing processes and approach to care, encouraging teamwork, identifying areas where medical errors can and do occur, and reducing/eliminating preventable adverse events and errors.
  2. Organize this information using a mnemonic to assist with retention and recall of stabilization activities that are critical for the post-resuscitation/pre-transport care of sick infants

Spectrum Health is approved with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
