Live Courses

This class will prepare learners to provide appropriate care for patients undergoing weight-loss surgery. The course will discuss development of obesity and associated co-morbidities, delivery of bariatric-sensitive care within the inpatient setting, types of weight-loss surgery, and signs and symptoms of potential complications.

Learning to be a preceptor requires integrating new knowledge, attitudes and skills. This class utilizes a variety of adult teaching strategies and active learning experiences to assist in developing the nurse preceptor.
