This education session will provide learners an overview about some of the partnerships needed in healthcare to improve patient outcomes. The education will focus on the partnerships Cardiovascular Imaging maintains with the Joint Commission, Infection Prevention, and Patient Experiences.

1. Discuss how the Joint Commission standards apply to Cardiovascular Imaging
2. Integrate Joint Commission knowledge into daily processes and workflows
3. Describe the Infection Prevention practices that effectively break the Chain of Infection.
4. Explore ways to improve infection prevention practice in Cardiovascular Imaging.
5. Correlate the importance of providing appropriate health literacy and patient outcomes.
6. Explain and display the teach-back methodology to improve patient understanding and outcomes.

Corewell Health West is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
