Drugs 101: Myths, Trends, and Opportunities to Intervene

This self paced module will provide an overview of current commonly used illicit drugs, discuss common misconceptions surrounding fentanyl, and describe current medication assisted treatment options for people who use drugs.

1. Describe common drugs in our community/country
2. Describe new and emerging substances being introduced into the illicit drug market
3. Review current drug poisoning trends both nationally and locally
4. Review commonly myths and misconceptions about substances
5. Describe substance use treatment and opportunities to provide harm reductive care in clinical practice
